BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man will spend a year in jail and has agreed to pay full restitution for stealing from a local youth group.

Vern Lockridge was sentenced today. He pleaded to one count of Grand Larceny in March. The Erie County District Attorney says Lockridge admitted to taking $32,550 in grant money that was supposed to go to the Boys & Girls Club of Western New York.

Lockridge's business, Close2daedge Technology, Inc. was supposed to supply the club with 42 laptop computers that were purchased through the grant. But Lockridge instead kept the money for himself.

Lockridge agreed to pay the Boys and Girls Club the full amount of $32,550.
