BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man has been sentenced for a fatal stabbing outside of an Elmwood Avenue grocery store in May.

38-year-old Frederick Jordan was sentenced Thursday to an indeterminate sentence of one to three years in prison.

Officials say on May 1, 2020 Jordan stabbed 41-year-old Duane Donaldson during an altercation in the parking lot of an Elmwood Avenue grocery store. Donaldson died at the scene.

Jordan pleaded guilty to one count of criminally negligent homicide on October 16.
