BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The U.S. Attorney's Office says a Buffalo man was charged in a criminal complaint for allegedly submitting multiple fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan applications under the CARES Act.

23-year-old Christian Johnson allegedly submitted the fraudulent PPP loan applications on behalf of a company called Million Man LLC to at least three financial institutions, according to officials.

The complaint alleges the applications contained numerous false and misleading statements about the Million Man business including number of employees and average monthly payroll. Johnson also allegedly submitted falsified federal tax documents payroll records.

Johnson was charged by criminal complaint with wire fraud, bank fraud, and false statements to a financial institution.
