BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man has been charged after allegedly accosting and yelling at a witness of a homicide case, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors say 43-year-old Paulino Rodriguez appeared before a judge on Monday and was charged with witness tampering and witness intimidation, which are both felonies.

The altercation involving Rodriguez led to the witness changing their testimony from what was previously recounted, according to prosecutors. The trial ended in an acquittal.

If convicted, Rodriguez faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
