Buffalo man arrested after armed robbery at Tim Hortons

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo police say a man is in custody following an armed robbery at a Tim Hortons on Bailey Avenue Tuesday.

Police say 22-year-old Matthew Dillon entered a Tim Hortons on the 600 block of Bailey Avenue around 10 p.m. displaying a handgun.

Dillon allegedly grabbed an employee and dragged her into the manager's office and told her to stay on the floor. He then allegedly pointed the gun at a second employee who was in the office counting money and told her to get on the ground.

Police say Dillon took an undisclosed amount of money from the safe and fled the scene.

He faces the following charges:

First degree robbery
Second degree menacing
Second degree harassment
Criminal Possession of a Weapon
