Buffalo driver sentenced to 5 years probation after deadly crash

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo driver behind the wheel of a deadly hit-and-run was sentenced to 5 years of probation, and his license has been revoked.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office said 75-year-old Kaled Handal was driving on Grant Street when he hit and killed 58-year-old Luiman E. Velez and drove away from the scene.

Handal pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an incident resulting in death.
