BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo City Mission will host a Topping Out ceremony to put the final construction beam in place for its new $15 million Community Center.
The 75,000 square foot center, which will be known as the Alfiero Family Center of Hope and Promise, will provide space for transitional housing, social service agencies, case management, mental health services, medical care, job training, basic family services, legal services, food, clothing and more for homeless men in need.
According to the City Mission, the facility is vital to prevent men, women and children in our community from becoming homeless while providing more complete care to those who are already experiening homelessness.
The ceremony will include speakers from the Buffalo City Mission leadership, elected officials and distinguished guests. It will take place Tuesday, April 16th at 10AM at the Buffalo City Mission at 100 E. Tupper Street.
