BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Bills special teams legend Steve Tasker is one of 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2020.

This marks Tasker's seventh time as a semifinalist for enshrinement in Canton. He was first named a semifinalist in 2004 and again in 2008-2010 and 2012-2013.

Tasker, a ninth-round pick by the Houston Oilers in 1985, played all but his rookie season in Buffalo, retiring in 1997. He was an instrumental part of the Bills' Super Bowl run from 1991 to 1994.

After stepping away from the field, Tasker chose to remain in Western New York to raise his family. He has also enjoyed a successful broadcasting career post-retirement.

Tasker and his number 89 were added to the Bills Wall of Fame in 2007.

The list of semifinalists from the NFL's modern era will be reduced to 15 finalists and announced on January 2. The selection committee will name their five choices on the eve of the Super Bowl on February 1.
