BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man is facing attempted murder charges after investigators say he fired shots at a Buffalo police officer.

Pablo Alicea, 19, is charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to detectives, Alicea jumped out the window of a home in the 2000 block of Niagara Street Monday after police entered the house with a search warrant. After jumping, Alicea opened fire on a member of the Buffalo Police SWAT team outside. The shots hit a wooden post. The officer returned fire. No one was hurt. Alicea was taken into custody after a short chase.

According to police, officers removed a quantity of heroin from the home.
