BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Rev. Eric Johns, Pastor at the Buffalo Dream Center, and volunteers from the local area distributed food on Saturday to 130 families on Arkansas Street on the city's west side.

Boxes of Love, a Christmas campaign with a goal of giving food to 3,000 families and toys to thousands of children, continues next week with distributions scheduled throughout Buffalo.

Boxes of Love will distribute food at more than twenty distribution sites.

The campaign is still in need of new, unwrapped toys.

Pastor Johns brought attention to this by living on the streets of Buffalo with the homeless in November and his mobile food pantry has fed thousands of families during the pandemic.

Pastor Johns said, "As we continue to give away food, we are also giving toys away next week. We are still in need of about 1,000 toys."
