BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A new exhibit in Buffalo is helping to celebrate both Black History and Women's History Months.

The Black Doll Exhibit in the main branch of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library highlights Black and Latina beauty over the years, and seeks to empower young girls and women of color.

"As a local leader, it's important for me, especially during Black History Month to celebrate the skin that we are in among black and brown people, and that young children have an opportunity to do so."
April Baskin, Erie County Legislator

The exhibit will be on display at the Central Library in downtown Buffalo until March 13th.
