FOXBOROUGH, M.A. (WKBW) — A long-time Bills fan Colin Dee is planning to truly circle the wagons (or should we say stadium?) Monday night in a big way.
Dee is planning on running 26.2 miles around Gillette Stadium ahead of the matchup between the Bills and the Patriots where the team has a chance to sweep its longtime division rival for the first time since 1999.
Dee tells 7 Eyewitness News he has run a few marathons, but decided on a whim to do this run after a record-setting season by his hometown team.
The Rochester-native turned the “celebratory run” into charity-opportunity.
He started a GoFundMe to raise money for Oishei Children’s Hospital with a $1,000 goal — which was quickly surpassed.
He’s hoping to raise as much money as he can ahead of the Monday Night Football matchup.
He’s asking fans to donate $4.45, which is $0.17/mile to help children in need.
You can donate to the cause here.
Dee is planning to begin his marathon in Foxborough around 4:30 pm and says he will listen or watch the game through his final laps around the 2-mile loop.
Go Bills!
