BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo native and bishop Andre Willis is setting out to ride his bicycle to raise money and awareness for the homeless and the less fortunate.

He stood outside the high school he graduated from, to announce that he'll bike for 3,000 miles, visiting 600 cities in four different continents.

He said in June he'll embark on this seven-month-long mission, called 'Bike 4 Hipe.'

The campaign aims to raise millions of dollars.

"I want just to get, not just America...just human life to treat one another with more dignity than we are," he said. "And that's what this campaign is about, it's not just about raising money, but it's also about bringing awareness. It's also about restoring lives."

Bishop Willis said he should be back in January 2020.
