NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Bikesharing is coming to Niagara Falls this year. Reddy Bikeshare is working with the city, Independent Health and Shared Mobility Inc. to make Niagara Falls more bike-friendly.

Discounted annual memberships will be available to eligible Niagara Falls residents. Public meetings will be held this spring to discuss biking in and around Niagara Falls. Meeting times and locations will be posted here.

Reddy Bikeshare already operates in nearby Buffalo, and since it began in July 2016, almost 10,000 riders have taken part. Buffalo and Niagara falls are connected by the Niagara River Greenway, a 20-mile trail that is accessible to both pedestrians and bikers. Once it's completed, it will connect the region through a system of trails that span the waterfronts of both Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
