BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Authorities in Western New York are warning residents to beware of another phone scam.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office is issuing the warning about the NYSEG scam.
The office says the scammer will claim to be a representative with the power company and will request that you return a call to them.
The sheriff's office says do not release any personal information to this person.
If you do receive a similar call, you should report it to our local police agency right away.
