Bemus Point woman killed in early morning crash

TOWN OF STOCKTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — A woman from the southern tier was killed early Thursday morning in a crash in the Town of Stockton.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Stacey A. Grimes lost control of her vehicle on Rte. 380, left the road and hit a tree. Deputies say the Bemus Point woman was pronounced dead on the scene.

The roadway was closed for a few hours while the scene was being investigated, it has since reopened.
