BATAVIA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Batavia City School District announced Saturday, effective immediately, the district will be switching to a full-remote model. Meaning all students will stay at home and learn from home.
The district released this Facebook post on Saturday explaining their reasons.
Superintendent Anibal Soler Jr. cites a rising positivity rate in Genesee County and and high number of positive tests throughout the district over the past year.
Batavia City School District students will not return to in-person classes until sometime after the winter break.
