WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Aurora Sewing Center hosted the Australia Support Craft-A-Thon Sunday to benefit the Australian wildlife that has been displaced by the wildfires that have devastated much of the continent.
Organizers and attendees created items like nests, joey pouches, bat wraps and animal beds which they plan to send to Australia.
Niagara County Down Under located in Sanborn even brought several kangaroos to the event.
The organizers say they exceeded their goal for the event Sunday but can still use more help so they can continue to make the items and send them out.
If you would like to help in any way you can contact the organizer, Victoria Troutman, through the Facebook event here.
