Arcade man strikes Wyoming County Sheriff's vehicle, charged with DWI & reckless endangerment

TOWN OF JAVA, N.Y. (WKBW) — An Arcade man is facing DWI and reckless endangerment charges after he struck a Wyoming County Sheriff's vehicle, according to New York State police.

Police say 27-year-old Tyler Malik was traveling southbound on ST-98 in the Town of Java when he rear ended a Wyoming county Sheriff's vehicle parked on the shoulder with all emergency lights activated during a traffic stop.

The deputy suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to the Wyoming County Community Hospital, he was later released.

Police say Malik had a B.A.C of 0.09 percent. He was released on appearance tickets and is due in Town of Java court at a later date.
