FREDERICK, M.D. (WKBW) — Anchor Bar is bringing a taste of Buffalo to Maryland.
The beloved local restaurant famous for its chicken wings has opened a location in Frederick, Maryland.
The new restauran has 40 large flat screens, and room for more than 250 people. Anchor Bar's signature wings, sauces, boneless wings and fingers are on the menu.
Anchor Bar first opened in 1935 in Buffalo. Anchor Bar claims to have invented the chicken wing in 1964.
The restaurant locations fry up more than one-million pounds of chicken per year.
