BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — According to AMR, there has been a 15% drop in total transports since the pandemic started. They say that is caused by fears over the coronavirus and can lead to issues.

"If you're having a heart attack or a stroke, time is muscle and brain," Scott Karaszewski with AMR said. "So we always encourage early access to the 9-1-1 system."

AMR is wiping down the vehicles between every call.

They are also using a fog/steam cleaning system as well.

"It's a safe transport," Karaszewski said. "We are still out there 24/7 and we encourage peoplem to call."
