AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — An Amherst woman could go to prison for up to 25 years after she was arrested for manslaughter.
Prosecutors said Monica Carpenter, 31, killed her boyfriend early Monday morning. They said she stabbed Pedro Pizarro, 30, in the back inside their Callodine Avenue home.
Carpenter was arraigned in Amherst town court. She's set to return Friday morning for a felony hearing. She is being held on $100,000 cash or bond.
