AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Town of Amherst will host an ‘Amherst Weekend of Giving’ on Memorial Day weekend, with two drive-through collection events.
The first event is ‘Spread the Love’ peanut butter collection drive sponsored by FeedMore WNY, which will be at Amherst Town Hall parking lot (5583 Main Street) on Saturday, May 23 from 10am – 2pm.
The second event is the ‘Help Thy Neighbor’ donation drive to benefit St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy. It will be on Monday, May 25 from 10am – 2pm in the Amherst Town Hall parking lot.
You can donte items likw health and personal products ( aspirin, shampoo, deodorant, feminine products, etc.), baby products such as formula and wipes, diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6), toilet paper, paper towels, and non-perishable food.
Volunteers will be at both events to ensure drive-through donations will be contactless and social distancing measures will be in effect.
