BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Looking to help combat the blood shortage while earning an Amazon gift card? The American Red Cross is offering just that.
You may remember earlier this month the American Red Cross issuing an emergency call for blood and platelet donors, now the Red Cross will give eligible donors a $5 Amazon gift card between July 29th and August 29th.
The Red Cross is running three days short of most blood types and two days short of type O blood.
The gift cards come after Amazon donated $1 million to the Red Cross to aid the shortage across the country.
