BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Starting at 8 p.m. on Friday all New Yorkers must wear masks that cover your mouth and nose at public places where social distancing isn't possible.

This is part of an executive order signed by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

This executive order follows a similar one passed by the governor which went into effect Wednesday night mandating all essential workers with direct interaction with the public, must wear a face mask provided to them by their employer.

The results of the executive order are causing a surge in demand for local sewing and mask makers.
