BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Tamara Ebo says the area around her Devastation Dance Company and Academy is a “gym desert”.
There is not a traditional fitness center within a 10 minute drive from the dance studio’s location on Bailey Avenue.
It’s because of that, Ebo decided to start expanding her programming and creating room for the adults as well as the kids.
She is doing it in a way that’s sure to engage people without making the exercise feel like a chore.
Her afrobeat dance class started on a trial basis a few months ago, but after seeing how the community came out and reacted to it — Ebo says it will be offered regularly starting in September.
