SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — Two people, including a mother from Springville, have been arrested after police say they let minors drink and hold marijuana smoking contests in their home.

The Erie County Sheriff's Department arrested 33-year-old Kristin Martin after they investigated complaints of minors using alcohol and narcotics in her apartment on Pearl Street in Springville. Deputies say they also found crack cocaine and cocaine in the home, and that Martin was using narcotics in the presence of minors. Martin is charged with 20 misdemeanors including endangering the welfare of a child, nine counts of unlawfully dealing with a child, and nine counts of knowingly permitting minors into an establishment where controlled substance activity occurs. She is also facing charges connected to four marijuana plants that police say they found growing in the home.

Police also arrested 32-year-old Nathaniel Reed, who they say also lives at the apartment. They say he had an outstanding warrant from the Town of Hamburg, and he's also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, as well as tampering with evidence among other things.

The two were both taken to the Erie County Holding Center and released following their arraignments.
