BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — An abused war pup is heading back to Western New York Monday.

Piggy was abused in Afghanistan. The dog was saved by US Army veteran Zack Knorr from Cheektowaga.

Piggy will be fostered by Kelly Kirkpatrick of Angola.

Kirkpatrick says she has fostered multiple dogs before and is ready for Piggy's arrival.

The dog will land at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Monday evening.
