HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — With a view overlooking Lake Erie, 4900 Lakeshore Road in Hamburg is the home of a new coworking space.

Marie Domon, a freelancer originally from West Valley who now calls Hamburg home, wanted to create a coworking space for people to do business and create a community.

She's calling it Convergence Coworking.

The property is already home to Shannon June Salon and in the next few months, there will be office space for people to rent out, and 49 Coffee House and Eatery out of Springville will be serving up drinks and food with a beautiful view.

Domon says she wants to build a community and she didn't let COVID-19 get in the way of her plans. Since her business is based on people working together, she re-imagined how to utilize the space.

“Instead of saying come one come all, come here if you want to build community, come here to connect with others, come here to build a business," Domon said. "It has to be a very specific purpose... it's really pushing us to be mindful of how we are gathering.”

Domon hopes to add a podcast studio, conference rooms, offices, and of course, a sanitation station to the space.
