ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — If you have a child with special needs in your life, you know how hard it can be to find a safe space for them and a place for you not to worry.
Sensational Fun in Orchard Park provides personalized care and extensive experiences for your child to just be a kid without judgment from others. The space includes a gross motor skills room, a fine motor skills and art room, a sensory wall, a calming room and sensory bins. This creates learning experiences that translate to everyday life for kids with special needs, working on balance, self-calming, body awareness and comprehension.
The organization is a non-profit aimed at the wellness of the entire family, providing free parent night outs, free respite and support systems for parents of children with special needs.
"I just saw the need for something like this, where kids can just be themselves and make friends, which can sometimes be a real worry for parents," says Jennifer Klein, Executive Director of Sensational Fun.
