NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — The 7-week-old puppy that suffered severe injuries after being bitten by another dog last weekend has died. The Niagara County SPCA shared the sad news on its Facebook page.
The post read in part, "We have very sad news to share with you. Over the weekend our little guy gained his angel wings. We are heartbroken to say the least, but very grateful to Northtowns Veterinary Emergency and our veterinarian, Dr. Christopher Brown, for doing everything possible to try and save him."
The puppy had been nicknamed "Little Guy" by SPCA staff. He was brought to Northtowns Veterinary Emergency Saturday, May 23rd, after he was attacked in the home where he was living. The family couldn’t afford the needed care, so the Niagara County SPCA stepped in.
The Niagara County SPCA says the puppy didn't suffer, and thanked everyone for their prayers, love and support. The post went on to say that no effort was spared to try and save the puppy's life.
