BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — It is hotter than (fill in the blank).

Nature isn't the only thing cooking it up across Western New York.

We've got events you can enjoy outside and inside this weekend. So here are 7 things you can check out this weekend.

Galbani Italian Heritage Festival

The Galbani Italian Heritage Festival returns to its old roots. This year, the festival will be held downtown in Niagara Square. The two-day festival begins on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and ends around 11:00 p.m. On Sunday, it begins at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. The festival is free to get in.

Burgerfest 2019

This festival celebrates the birthplace of the hamburger. We're talking about Burgerfest 2019. But there's more to Burgerfest than buns and condiments. Parking is free along side streets adjacent to Main and Buffalo Streets in Hamburg. Admission to the festival is free. Burgerfest runs from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday.

Grease Pole Festival 2019

Are you brave enough to climb a 50 foot pole? You could find out in person at the 50th annual Pucho's Grease Pole Festival. This tradition originated in Puerto Rico. Take in the food, music and entertainment Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Olivencia Community Center Festival Grounds Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Click here for more information.

Queen City Pop Up

Shop local and take a gander at some of the new stores popping up on Main Street. Queen City Pop Up transforms vacant storefronts and turns them into pop-up shops that feature local retailers. You can find numerous local business at the Market Arcade Friday and Saturday. You can see a list of vendors here.

Rock The Barn Music Festival

This music festival benefits Meals on Wheels in Clarence. Hundreds of people will flock to Clarence for Rock the Barn. Admission is $25 and children under 12 years of age get in for free. Festivities kick off at 4:00 p.m. WKBW is a proud sponsor of Rock the Barn. You can find tickets here.

Old Home Days

Friday is your last chance to get out and enjoy Old Home Days in Williamsville. Take in the rides, food and entertainment on 5565 Main Street starting at 12:00 p.m. Festivities go until 9:00 p.m. You can find a schedule of events here. Proceeds will benefit the Jolly Boys, an organization dedicated to supporting groups in Amherst and Williamsville.

Apollo 50 - Remembering the First Step

Revisit history that left the world moonstruck. You and the family can celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission at the LoRusso Alumni & Visitor Center at Buffalo State College Saturday. Enjoy hands on moon activities and trivia at the planetarium. Admission is $10. The event runs from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
