BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — We're skating by this winter. No, really!

We haven't used the shovels or snow blowers much this season. But speaking of skating, we have some events where you can lace up or get up close on ice with your favorite Disney characters.

Disney On Ice

Get your mouse ears ready! Your favorite Disney characters, including Moana, Frozen, Toy Story, Finding Dory, and more, are in Buffalo this weekend for Disney on Ice at KeyBank Center. You can check out the action Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are still available.

Lace-up your skates and glide across the ice at the Rotary Rink. It costs $3. The rink will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday. You can find more information about the Rotary Rink by clicking this link.

The Botanical Gardens is LIT! Of course, we're talking about Lumagination. You and the family can explore simulated salt caves, learn about minerals, and take in the beautiful scenery. The exhibit takes place this weekend. Lumagination starts at 6:00 p.m. You can find tickets and more information here.

Larkinville Ice Festival

Larkinville is kicking off the weekend with a full slate of fun, family-friendly winter activities. You and the kids can enjoy carriage rides, ice sculptures and more. This event is free to attend. The Larkinville Ice Festival goes from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday.

Buffalo Soup-Fest

This festival will warm you up on a cold day. You can sample more than 70 different kinds of soup at this year's Buffalo Soup-fest. Soup-fest runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Buffalo RiverWorks. It costs $4 to get in. You can find tickets here.

Queen City Roller Girls

Roller derby season is here. We're talking hard-hitting high flying competition at Buffalo RiverWorks Friday. Come out and support the Alley Kats against the Devil Dollies Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Tickets start at $5.
