OLEAN, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Olean Police Department is asking the public for help to track down a robber that assaulted a clerk at a 7-Eleven store.
Investigators say a man came into the 7-Eleven on North Union Street around 3 a.m., Tuesday morning. In surveillance video provided by police, the man appears to be purchasing an item when he suddenly throws a can at the clerk, striking her in the head.
The man then reaches over the counter and grabs cash from the register before leaving the scene. The suspect was seen wearing a Nike knit cap and a Nike jacket. If you have any information on this case, call Olean Police at 716-376-5677.
