EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Immaculate Conception 5th grader Charlie Benzin shaved his head on Wednesday to raise money for cancer patients at Roswell Park. The East Aurora native is on track to raise $1000 for the cause.

His schoolmates gathered in the cafeteria to watch Charlie.

The fifth grader went to his principal to ask if he could do the hair cut at school and he approved.

"It shows that he's got a good head on his shoulder and realize that there is a need," Immaculate Conception School Principal Joe Duttweiler said. "He wants to help other people that are maybe not as fortunate as he is."
