BRADFORD, PA (WKBW) — Eric Jones has gone to Hollywood and carved pumpkins as part of Halloween Wars on the Food Network, this Halloween he went to Bradford, Pennsylvania.

The Bradford Ecumenical Home reached out to Jones when it found out the 300 pound pumpkin was being donated to see if he would be able to carve it and he agreed to it.

Pumpkin carving is something Jones began doing within the last few years and after appearing on the Food Network it has become a seasonal profession for him.

The man who donated the pumpkin, Kerry Roslinski, says he purchased the Atlantic Giant pumpkin last spring at a local greenhouse and has never grown a pumpkin that big. He was watering it with 150 to 250 gallons of water a night until it reached 300 pounds.

Officials from the nursing home say the donation was accepted because they saw it as a way to do something new for the residents amid the pandemic.

The nursing home says the pumpkin has served as a conversation piece so far and will be around for the next few weeks.
