3 kittens thrown from moving vehicle, 72-year-old man charged

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 72-year-old man is charged with animal cruelty after police say he tossed three kittens from a moving vehicle.

According to police, a woman says she saw Michael Freeman throw the kittens out a the window of his vehicle Monday. The incident happened on Lewiston Road and Garret Avenue.

Police were able to locate Freeman near Lewiston Road and Norwood Aveneue. One of the kittens was found dead. The other two kittens have not been located, police say.

A Niagara SPCA investigator was called in to assist. Freeman is charged with aggravated animal cruelty.
