WIRT, N.Y. (WKBW) — The SPCA Serving Allegany County is asking for help following a raid last week. On Friday, January 18th, SPCA raided two locations in the Town of Wirt, and removed 140 animals. Video of the raid was sent to 7 Eyewitness News by a Facebook user.

The animals taken in the raid include cows, sheep, goats, horses, ducks, chickens, dogs and cats. Because there are so many animals to care for, the SPCA is asking for donations. The organization could use donated hay for feed, bedding hay or straw, horse, sheep, goat and chicken feed, cracked corn, puppy food, blankets and newspapers.

Donations can be dropped off at either the SPCA location in Wellsville or Belmont. The organization may be able to provide hauling if anyone is able to donate large amounts of hay.
