12-year-old walking to school in Jamestown approached by suspicious man

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — Jamestown Police are looking into a suspicious situation from this morning around 8:15 a.m. involving an adult male approaching a child walking to Washington Middle School.
The child reported once it got to school that the man drove up in a red pick-up truck with chrome wheels while the child was walking on Burr Place and Price Street.
The male offered the child a ride, and also asked for the child's phone number.
The child says it did not speak to the man, but went directly to the school to report what happened. t
The child described the male as having a high ponytail.
