ARKWRIGHT, N.Y. (WKBW) — 11 people including nine youths between the ages of four and 19 were found missing in Chautauqua County late Monday night.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call just before 9:30 p.m. saying the individuals were lost for at least four and a half hours.
Authorities believed the hikers were thought to be around a creek in the area of Park Road in the town of Arkwright.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, but it was a sheriff's K9 that found the hikers.
Deputies said two of the hikers sustained minor injuries. They were treated by the Cassadaga Fire Department and transported to Brooks Hospital.
It was not immediately clear how old the injured individuals were.
