BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — If you're tech savvy, here's a way to earn some cash, and help out the City of Buffalo at the same time.

Mayor Byron Brown launched his 3rd annual Civic Innovation Challenge today.

It's a competition to find software solutions for the City's Department of Public Works, or Permit and Inspection Services.

This offers an opportunity for local coders, APP developers and programmers to find solutions to enhance internal operations, or improve the delivery of services.

The winner of the competition will get $10,000, and a business assistance package from AT&T.

The deadline for submissions is May 18.
