A unique partnership among three local charities is providing crucial job skills to those in need.
For the past month, eight people have been enrolled in a Salvation Army employment services program that includes an internship with West Side Ministries and a workplace laboratory at Vive la Casa, the country's largest shelter for immigrants seeking asylum in this country.
Along with classroom training and coaching, the group also learned about various "soft" job skills like positive attitude, task management, and punctuality.
