The guys at Lloyd Taco announced in a Facebook Live video Monday morning they will be opening an ice cream shop on Hertel Avenue.

The new shop at 1501 Hertel Avenue will be called "Churn" and will feature soft serve ice cream made from scratch.

The duo said they use locally sourced grass-fed milk to make their ice cream and will also feature creative toppings.

"Believe it or not, we're doing something unheard of with making our own ice cream base,"said Pete Cimino, co-found of lloyd. "The majority of the ice cream we all eat comes from a commodity base that is premade in a factory somewhere. We love ice cream and want to avoid as much of the nonsense that makes its way into recipes as possible. We've been testing batches and are thrilled with the results."

The shop will also offer coffee- and espresso-based drinks to its customers.

Cimino and other co-founder, Chris Dorsaneo, have also introduced Ann (Panda) Tran to the mix. Tran, who was previously the Pastry Chef at Williamsville's Aro Bar de Tapas, will the running the day-to-day operations in the new store.
