A Lewiston native was killed in an apparent murder-suicide in California, authorities said.
According to ABC affiliate KABC, Whitney Washuta, 25, was fatally shot Tuesday night in West Hollywood outside her residence. Detectives said she was walking her dog when she was shot.
Washuta's ex-boyfriend, Kyle Ramsey, 27 was found dead about a half-mile away from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.
KABC reports the two had recently gone through a bad breakup, and Washuta's sister told detectives there were prior domestic violence issues with the couple, though no police report was ever filed.
