A Level 3 sex offender from South Wales has been arraigned on a number of new sex offense charges.
Prosecutors say Dejary Burdic forcibly engaged in oral sexual conduct with a child under the age of 15. Burdic pleaded not guilty.
In 2008, Burdic was convicted of attempted rape. He was sentenced to an indeterminate sentence of 18-36 months of incarceration.
He was also convicted of a violent felony offense. For that crime he served a determinate sentence of two years in jail.
Burdic also has a criminal conviction for sexual misconduct in 2009 form the Town of Ashford.
Based on the seriousness of the current offense and the defendant's criminal history, Burdic faces a maximum sentence of a determinate sentence of 10-25 years if convicted.
Burdic has been in custody since February 2016. He is being held without bail.
