A lawsuit against the home real estate website Zillow claims the home value "Zestimate" tool undervalued the price of an Illinois home, making it difficult for the home owners to sell.

According to a Washington Postarticle, the home estimate tool gathers home pricing info using public records and "other" data.

The article continues by explaining in certain states including Ohio, Oklahoma, Florida, Maryland and Illinois, some home estimates are off by as much as 10-33 percent.

7 Eyewitness News reporter Cierra Johnson is speaking with local real estate agents on what potential home buyers and sellers need to keep in mind when utilizing home real estate sites like Zillow.
