Thursday night Erie County lawmakers will discuss the county's concussion proposal.

The proposal would make sure children playing organized contact or collision sports in Erie County are properly supervised. Coaches, referees and officials would be required to take a course in concussion safety.

The sport's organization would also have to keep a record of who's taken the course.

The Erie County Department of Health will hold no less than four safety courses a year, free of charge.

Thursday's meeting is inside Erie County Chambers at 6 p.m.
