40-year-old Carlos Perez of Vancouver was arrested last night in Niagara Falls after police say an on-going investigation led them the vehicle he used to transport nearly $500,000 worth of cocaine into the Western New York area.
Erie County Sherrif Tim Howard, alongside representatives from Niagara Falls Police, Homeland Security and the DEA say, Perez's arrest is proof of how effective intelligence sharing can be when dealing with these types of complex on-going cases.
Perez now faces two charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A felony and is being remanded without bail.
