A 55-year-old Lancaster woman is dead after Lancaster Police say a pickup truck slammed into her car.

The crash happened around 9:30 Wednesday night.

That's when police say she was driving east on Broadway near Woodlawn Avenue, when a large pickup truck heading west crossed the median, hitting her car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the truck's driver, a 23-year-old man from Buffalo, was not injured, and is cooperating with the investigation.

It's unclear what caused the crash, but police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in it.
