Labor Day celebrations in the Buffalo-Niagara region are getting a lot of help from Mother Nature, who is providing beautiful summer weather.

However, many local first responders do not get a chance to celebrate the holiday because they have to remain on the job to keep the public safe.

As part of a corporate give-back, over 800 Olive Garden Restaurants across the nation and here in Western New York spent the holiday delivering specially prepared full-course lunches to first responders on the job.

7 Eyewitness News reporter Ed Reilly followed workers from the Olive Garden Restaurant in Amherst as they took the food to the Town of Tonawanda Police Headquarters, where it was shared by police officers and paramedics.
